National Champs! Sooners Beat Bama 34-31

The new #1 team in the land is the Oklahoma Sooners. With a thrilling 34-31 upset victory over Alabama in the BCS title game, the Sooners claimed their first national title since the 2000 season. Coach utvol27's squad finishes the season ranked #1, with a 14-0 record, despite the swirling rumors and distractions of recruiting violations and impending NCAA sanctions.

On this night, however, no Sooner coaches, players, or fans were concerned about the NCAA. "We came out and played our butts off," said Coach utvol27. "This win is for the whole city of Norman, Oklahoma, for Nancy O'Dell, and Big Snacks. I'd also like to say a special thank you to Bob Stoops for recruiting Landry Jones and DeJuan Miller and to Katy Perry for providing my pre-game iPod shuffle soundtrack."

Tied 21-21 at halftime, and 24-24 heading into the 4th quarter, it was clear that this game would go down to the wire. Oklahoma eventually scored the game winning TD with 1:03 remaining in the 4th quarter on a 14 yard Dejaun Miller TD reception. Miller, the game's MVP, finished the game with 10 receptions, 326 receiving yards, and 4 TD receptions in his final game for the Sooners.

Alabama's Mark Ingram scorched through the Sooner defense while piling up 209 rushing yards, but in the end, it wasn't enough, as the Tide fell just short of winning its third straight national title.

With all teams now heading into the off-season, RUTS coaches will begin forming their squad's for next season, seeing which players might want to test the NFL Draft waters, and wrap up their recruiting classes.

Here are the Season 2 Final BCS Standings:
#1 - Oklahoma
#2 - Alabama
#3 - LSU
#4 - Ohio State
#6 - Miami
#11 - Oregon
#13 - North Carolina
