Week 10 Scoreboard

Down Goes Clemson! Down Go The Goalposts!
LSU Controls Clock & Wins Turnover Battle To Upset Top-Ranked Clemson
#7 LSU - 19
#1 Clemson - 13
Player of the Game: Josh Jasper (K) - 4/4 FGs, Long of 39 yards
Game Notes & Quotes:

- LSU had the ball for 17 minutes, while Clemson had the ball for 7 minutes.

- Clemson took the opening kickoff and marched down the field. RB Blake Miller hauled in a 3rd down pass and took it 30+ yards for the TD, putting Clemson ahead 7-0.

- LSU answered the call with a clock eating drive that went into the 2nd quarter. Inside the 5 yard line, LSU was faced with 4th and goal, and the river-boat gambler Coach UTVOL54 decided to go for it. He sent in WR Mo Robinson at QB in the 'Vacation Package' and Robinson took the shotgun snap and took it right up the middle, diving into the endzone to tie the game at 7-7.

"I knew once we got inside the 5 yard line, we absolutely had to come away with a TD," said Coach UTVOL54. "His fast DEs rushed outside, and Mo was patient and took it right up the gut for six."

- On its next two possessions, Clemson threw interceptions, giving LSu an opportunity to build a comfortable lead. On one of its posessions, LSU RB Bo Outlaw fumbled inside the Clemson red-zone, and the ball was recovered by Clemson DE Da'Quan Bowers. A booth review reversed the call, however, and LSu was able to kick a FG to go ahead 10-7.However, the Clemson defense stood strong and forced LSU to kick 2 FGs, the final one coming as time expired in the 1st half. At halftime, LSU lead 13-7.

- LSU took the 2nd half kickoff and marched deep into Clemson territory before the Tiger defense once again forced a 4th down. LSU kicker Josh Jasper nailed home a 39 yarder to pur LSU ahead 16-7.

- Clemson drove into LSu territory and was forced to kick a FG to cut the LSU lead to 16-10 late in the 3rd quarter. But LSU marched down the field on a drive that ate up nearly 5 minutes off the clock. Along the way, the Tigers converted several key 3rd down plays, and two 4th downs to extend the drive. On the game, LSU was 5/5 converting 4th downs. The biggest play came on a 3rd and long from the Clemson 39, when QB Jarrett Lee hit RB Bo Outlaw over the middle in very tight coverage. Outlaw hauled in the pass, and LSU's was in FG range. The Tigers kicked another FG with under 1:30 left in the game to go ahead 19-10.

- Clemson quickly marched into LSu territory but were forced to kick a 4th down field goal with 18 seconds remaining. The kick was good and Clemson trailed by only 6, at 19-13. There final chance was an onside kick, which was recovered by LSU. Jarrett Lee took a knee on the next snap and the LSU students, fans, and corndog vendors stormed the field as "One Shining Moment" blared over the loud speaker.

- "This is only the 2nd time that anyone has beaten Clemson," said UTVOL54. "I'm proud of our game plan and our execution on both sides of the ball. We controlled the clock, and forcing those 2 tunrovers was huge. We've got to move on though, because we'll likely be facing the nation's new #1 team again next week, when we travel to Tuscaloosa to play Alabama. The SEC West will be on the line."

Exciting News Videos about TeamBuilder

Wow! Not only is teambuilder available for online dynasty/RUTS v. 2.0...but you can also set your roster to be a current ncaa team.....so for example, Coach Stu wins the lottery and gets the 1st pick in the RUTS draft and selects USC...but he doesnt like USC's uniforms, logos, etc...he can change them up however he wants, but keep the same roster. This is pretty cool. Just watch the videos for more info. Not sure how we can do this for RUTS next year, but it sounds like it's possible if any of you want to do it.

NCAA '10 News

And your NCAA 10 PS3 Cover Athlete is..........former Utah QB Brian Johnson??? O....K.
Here are the other 3 game covers for Xbox360, PS2, and PSP (no Wii game this year).

Also, some cool new features were announced yesterday as well.

"NCAA Football 10 introduces TeamBuilder, an all-new, online create-a-school feature that will enhance the user’s ability to produce personalized content. With the capability to upload logos and numerous customization options for uniforms, fields, rosters, and much more, TeamBuilder gives users the opportunity to design completely original teams with infinite possibilities. Plus, preloaded logos for several Football Championship Subdivision schools will help users create authentic teams for NCAA Football 10. With its intuitively designed online database that is searchable across several fields, TeamBuilder allows users to share content with ease. A football fan’s dream, TeamBuilder will enable users to experience the excitement and pageantry of college football, defined by their own personalized creations.

This time around Create-a-School (TeamBuilder) is all web-based and operated from your PC. Pigskin fanatics can hop onto TeamBuilder.com, (once the site is live) sign in with their EA Sports ID, and then get down to the nitty gritty of designing the look and attributes for their school. EA Sports was kind enough to create IGN University (average GPA 1.1) to give us a look at just how deep the creation goes.

"There are hundreds of pieces to every uniform and many can be tuned to your liking. From the stripes on your pants to whether your logo appears on the helmet or your uniform number (ala Alabama), there's a lot of depth there. There are more than 70 base styles for your uni and 11 different logo placements aside from the helmet designs that I just mentioned. There's less customizability to the pants, but it's a similar mechanic. As fun as it is to fiddle with the look of your uniforms, what really impressed me was the freedom afforded to nailing down a team logo."

Here is an example of a created team that EA Sports did for IGN.com. Check out the cool field logos and helmet stickers.

I'm not sure if this feature can be used for online dynasty. If so, I call dibs to make the 1998 Hendersonville Commandos state runner up team! ha ha!

The Battle for the "54 Cowbell"

Week 10 is upon us. And that means one thing...it's time for the showdown in Death Valley... and the BATTLE FOR THE "54 COWBELL." In a week with only 1 user game, this game by far takes the cake as "must see TV" in RUTS this week.

The Battle for the 54 Cowbell started in season 3, when coach utvol27's lucky cowbell came up missing.

The cowbell was later returned unharmed. But word on the street is that LSU wants the cowbell for its own.

No one can argue that the Clemson Tigers have dominated RUTS in its 3 1/2 seasons, losing only once to Coach ccut's Virginia Tech Hokies in season 2. But few could also argue that Coach UTVOL54's LSU Tigers have been the 2nd-best team in RUTS. Making this showdown one of epic proportions.

#1 Clemson marches into Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge riding high on a monstrous winning streak. However, LSU doesn't lose often at home, having lost only 1 game in RUTS history in Baton Rouge - in a season 1 56-9 beatdown at the hands of Clemson. But the eye of the tiger awaits Clemson yet again.

"We're entering this game with a lot of confidence," said LSU caoch UTVOL54. "We have nothing to lose. We're a great football team. We have to play really well to win, but we don't have to be perfect. And it's not like Clemson can just roll their helmets out on the field and beat us. They're going to have to play their best game of the year to beat us. And they know that!"

Clemson's attack centers around its pair of talented running backs, Andre Ellington and Blake Miller, who are used prominently in both the running game as well as the passing game. LSU, on paper, has more weapons in its arsenal on offense, including 3 star running backs, and 3 WRs with blazing speed.

"We're also excited about the way Mo Robinson has come on for us, not only as a slot receiver but as our QB in the 'Vacation Package," said UTVOL54.

Still For LSU to emerge victorious, coach UTVOL54 knows it will take a special effort, which is why he brought out the big guns this week. The Tigers, instead of watching game film this week have had mandatory viewings of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

"We're going to play for keeps this week,"said UTVOL54. "No one thought Ricky had a chance against Jean Giraud, but guess what, he brought the magic, the funk, and the southern charm, and won the hearts of millions, if not ga-zillions. Coach utvol27 is just like Giraud, cocky, arrogant, and greasy haired - with a weird thing about rubbing noses with his competition. LSU is going to shake and bake, and whatever happens, happens."

ESPN Gameday is on hand in Baton ROuge for this one. Although sideline reporter Erin Andrews will not be working the telecast - mainly becuase of the 2 mile restraining order she has on coach utvol27. It's impossible to bet against Clemson until proven otherwise, so RUTS PR staff picks Clemson to win this one. But, something tells us the Tigers have something up their sleeve. They are laid back, confident, and playing well. Will the upset happen? Probably not, but there's never been a better contender to take Clemson down.

LSU came up 3 points short at Clemson last year, so they know how to do it and are confident they can do it. But will they? Kickoff is at 7:45 pm EST tonight.

"Bring your popcorn," said UTVOL54. "But don't burn it."

Rival Coaches Team Up For A Cure

Clemson Coach utvol27 and Florida Coach Stubucksman did the unthinkable today, by joining forces to stop one of the world's biggest epidemics - fragrant flatulence. In a press conference held in a top-secret location, Coach utvol27 and Stu stood side by side and announced that they are the co-national spokespersons for a new product sure to revolutionize the world for farters everywhere.

"Subtle Butt is not only a unique product, born from extensive testing, research, and noses-on experimentation, but it works. Trust me," said coach utvol27.

Coach Stu added, "While I have tried to hide the smell of my farts for years, I have been overwhelmingly unsuccessful...until now. Now, I can go to sleep at night knowing that if I let one rip under the covers, Mrs. StuBucksman won't be exposed to potentially harmful gasses."

The product is due to hit store shelves sometime this summer, but in the meantime, consumers may order the product by calling the Clemson and/or Florida football offices, or by attending one of the two coaches monthly "Subtle Butt Seminars."

Standing at the podium, the two coaches held hands and raised them to the sky, and said in unison, "We will win this battle, and so will you!" Teasing what could be Subtle Butt's new product marketing slogan.

The two then hit "play" on the nearest VCR and showed astonished reporters the new Subtle Butt promotional video.

"Subtle Butt is for everyone," said Coach StuBucksman. "I enjoy placing a patch in my tightie whities as well as my man-thongs. Comfort comes first with me, and Subtle Butt offers me the comfort I need, along with the ability to camouflage my gas. It's a win-win."

"I am most excited about the water-proof Subtle Butt that is set for a Fall 2009 release. This will really cut down on vaporous gases that one might be exposed to after a fart slips out in a steamy, enclosed shower," said coach utvol27.

Reporters, who entered the press conference shocked the two coaches were teaming up in this mission, left encouraged and moved by the coaches' enthusiasm and the Subtle Butt promise: "YOU RIP IT, WE HIDE IT, OR YOUR MONEY BACK."

LSU Defense Forces 4 INTS; Snuffs Out Gators Hot Offense
Slow and Steady LSU Offense Controls Clock, Game
#8 LSU - 38
#2 Florida - 20
Player of the Game: Sidell Corley (DE) - 2 Interceptions, 1 sack, 1 TFL, 1 pass deflection

Game Notes & Quotes & Highlights:
- LSU opened the game with a long TD drive to go up 7-0, then stopped the Gators on their first drive. LSU was then forced to punt to Florida speed racer Scott Simmons, who raced 77 yards to paydirt to tie the game at 7-7.
"We knew he was a threat," said LSU Coach UTVOL54. "But Simmons is by far the most explosive returner we've seen in this stadium in a long time."

- LSU scored a TD with 50 seconds left in the 1st half to go up 14-7, but the fast paced Gator aerial attack quickly marched downfield and notched a late TD to tie the game at 14-14 going into the locker room.

- LSU Defensive Coordinator John Chavis fired up his troops at halftime, and the Tigers defense responded accordingly, stopping the Gators 3 and out on the opening series. Florida punted to LSU WR Mark Ford, who fumbled the kick, but then proceeded to knife his way down the sideline before being tackled inside the 10 yard line, setting up an LSU TD.

- Florida responded accordingly, driving all the way inside the LSU 30 yard line witha nice mix of runs and passes, including using freshman tailback Zach Frye at QB to surprise the Tigers with some speed at the QB spot. However, Gator QB John Brantley forced a throw over the middle which fell right into the hands of LSU MLB Ryan Baker, ending the Gators scoring threat.

- LSU drove the field and kicked a FG to go up 24-14 to end the 3rd quarter. On the next Gators' series, LSU DE Sidell Corley dropped into a zone coverage and stepped in front of a Brantley pass. On the next play, LSU QB Jarrett Lee hit Terance Tolliver on a curl route. Tolliver caught the ball, then got a great downfield block from RB Bo Outlaw which cleared a wide open path to the end zone. LSU lead 31-14, and the LSU student section started its patented "WHO WEARS SHORT JORTS? GATORS WEAR SHORT JORTS" chant.

- "I was really proud of our defense tonight," said Coach UTVOL54. "We gave up a couple of big plays, but for the most part, we were under control, and played our assignments well. After our loss a few weeks ago at Nebraska, most people weren't giving us a chance in this one, but we fought hard. We'll probably be seeing those Gators again down the road, so I'm really glad we didn't have to resort too deep in to our bag of tricks or pull out the secret "backwards lateral statue of liberty play action FB Dive Jet sweep QB option pass" we've been working on. We'll save that for the rematch."

Huskers Upset LSU In Overtime Thriller
Nebraska Defense Makes Crucial OT Stop, Goal Posts Come Down In Lincoln
#23 Nebraska - 24
#2 LSU - 21 (OT)
Co-Players of the Game: Herbie Husker (Mascot) & Pierre Powers (RB) 9 carries, 116 yards, 2 rushing TDs
Game Notes & Quotes:
- Nebraska RB Pierre Powers ripped off a 77 yard TD run on the game's opening play to put the Huskers ahead 7-0.
- After stopping LSU on its first drive, Nebraska threatened to take an early 14-0 lead until LSU CB Brad Taylor picked off a Kyle Spano pass in the endzone. LSU drove 94 yards to tie the game, and the score stood at 7-7 at halftime.
- Late in the 3rd quarter, the Tigers took their first lead of the game, 14-7, but Nebraska quickly tied the game back up 14-14 on a 21 yard Pierre Powers TD run.
- After picking off a Jarrett Lee pass, Nebraska's Darrell Webb scored ona TD run to give the Huskers a 21-14 lead with just over 5 minutes remaining.
- LSU controlled the clock and the line of scrimmage on its next drive. Marching all the way down to the Husker's 5 yard line, when RB Bo Outlaw took a handoff and was tackled at the 3. The ball was popped loose and the Huskers recovered, seemingly icing the game (with under 2 minutes left). However, the booth reviewed the play and determined Outlaw's knee was down by contact, giving the Tigers the ball back. With 1:04 remaning in the game, LSU tied the score at 21-21.
- Nebraska was forced to punt on its next drive, and LSU ran out of time before it could get into FG range.
- The Huskers won the coin toss and elected to go on defense first in overtime. LSU ripped off a 7 yard run to the Husker 18 on 1st down, but star RB Bo Outlaw was injured on the play (out 1 week). The Tigers got 0 yards on 2nd and 3rd downs, and Coach UTVOL54 decided to go for it on 4th down. But, Jarrett Lee's pass to freshman Mo Robinson fell harmlessly to the turf, and the Huskers took over with the game in their hands.
"We had it 2nd and 3," said Coach UTVOL54. "I thought we executed our gameplan really well for the most part, but I let our team down right there. Instead of throwing back-to-back passes on 3rd and 4th downs, we should have run the ball. All night, we'd been able to get about 5 yards a carry. Those play calls were my fault and could have been the difference in the game."
- Nebraska ran two plays in the middle of the field before sending out kicker D. Davis to attempt the game winning FG. Pandomonium insued, the Husker fans rushed the field and tore the goal posts down, and Herbie Husker and Coach ccut were carried off the field.
- "Wow wow wee wow," said Coach ccut via text message immediately after the game. "I thought it was a consipracy at first, and the refs (by reversing the LSU fumble call) were trying to give LSU the game. But it all worked out in the end, and my defense made a play when it had to. The black shirts are back!"

Hagg Delivers Motivational Speech to Huskers

Tom Ronaldi is reporting that former Nebraska impact safety Eric Hagg was spotted in Lincoln earlier today. It is believed that Hagg was in town to share his intimate knowledge of LSU Coach UTVOL54 and to deliver a motivational speech to the Cornhuskers as they prepare to take on LSU tonight. Ronaldi is also reportnig that Coach ccut has fired his special teams coordinator Nick Trail following subpar performances in the Huskers first two games. Rumor is that former Tennessee Vol special teams coach and two time all american George Cafego has been thawed from his cryogenic state, a la Austin Powers (father of Cornhusker star WR/RB Pierre Powers), to resurrect the Huskers special teams during this Easter week. Will this be the winning edge to get the Cornhuskers in the win column?

E-Rock Joins Team in Lincoln

Lincoln, NE - After missing the team plane, word was that LSU's new Mascot, E-Rock the Corndog, would not be making the trip this week when the Tigers face the Big Red. ESPN's Shelly Smith noticed that the new lucky mascot with a 3-0 record did not accompany the team. "He didn't make the team charter," said coach UTVOL54, "the bus waits for no one." However, the missed bus was only the beginning of a Odyssey for the popular costumed friend.

"I sleeped, I sorry, still love me?" said E-Rock after arriving on the set of the FSN-Midwest preview show. After attempting to speak plain English with the mascot, the FSN crew finally determined somewhat that E-Rock had tried to walk all the way from Baton Rouge to Lincoln. However, a national Biker gang took pity on E-Rock and picked him up somewhere south of Brookhaven, Mississippi." LSU Fans around the country rejoiced on message boards now that their "lucky" guy was safe and sound in the state of corn.

LSU Arrives In Lincoln; Bashes Nebraska and Its Mascot

The LSU Tigers team plane landed in the middle of Tom Osborne Regional Cornfield yesterday afternoon, and immediately after stepping off the plane, Coach UTVOL54 proclaimed, "Where the heck are we?"

Welcome to Lincoln, Nebraska...virtually 26.3 miles from the middle of nowhere.

The RUTS PR Staff was fortunate to sit down with Coach UTVOL54 for an exclusive interview as the team rode the bus to Nebraska's Memorial Stadium. The topics were varied, but Coach UTVOL54 seemed most concerned about bashing the Cornhuskers' famous mascot Herbie The Husker.

"We're really excited about playing our first game in that stadium," said Coach UTVOL54. "It's a night game, it will be a sea of red, and it will be a fun atmosphere. But what the heck is up with their mascot?"

Herbie The Husker, the Cornhuskers mascot, and coach ccut's roommate (until he gets married this summer) certainly has some interesting body features.

"His head is humongous, his jeans are way too tight, and he wears them tucked into those ugly brown boots,"said UTVOL54. "Plus he's got that huge chin dimple! Who does he think he is, John Travolta?"

Coach UTVOL54 whole-heartily agreed with Sports Illustrated's recent cover story proclaiming Herbie the Husker the creepiest mascot of all time.

"I think the current Herbie is a semi upgrade from Nebraska's previous lame attempts of an intimidating mascot," said LSU's coach. "But you have to think that the only reason the current Herbie is still able to hang around is because he's roomies with coach ccut. That whole living situation is really weird and awkward."

Coach UTVOL54 cited several docu-dramas that have been produced by the Nebraska Athletic Department chronicling the life and times of Herbie as to why he thinks the young whipper-snapper of a mascot is so creepy.

"Just check out those clips," he said. "Makes you want to lock your children up at night and not even let them attend the game."

Sample video clips can be seen HERE, HERE, and HERE. "They're rubbish," says UTVOL54. "And whoever wrote that theme song, probably ccut, needs to take a lesson from Simon Cowell, and Raaaaaaaise the Baaaaaaaar. Plus, I think it's plain to see that ccut and Herbie are cuddlers. Take a look at the screen shot from that last video....uh weird!
The score will be settled tonight at Memorial Stadium. The #23 Huskers look to avoid starting the season 0-3, while the 2nd-ranked Tigers look to continue to prove their coach wasn't just offering up bulletin board material when he predicted a national title in 2011. Close Call For Clemson
Tigers Give Up 500 passing yards; Kick Late FG To Beat Maryland
#1 Clemson - 52
Maryland - 49
Player of the Game: Blake Miller (RB) - 7 receptions, 122 yards; 2 KO return TDs
Game Notes and Quotes:
- Clemson's normally stout defense was no match for the Terps passing game. Maryland shred the Tiger defense unlike any team in RUTS history.
- Blake Miller set the RUTS game record with __ KOR TDs in the game.
- Clemson kicker Richard Jackson nailed home a FG with 17 seconds remaining to give Clemson the victory.
- "Whew is all I can say," said coach utvol27, who was visably upset that sideline reporter Erin Andrews chose not to cover his team's game this week. "Maryland came out on fire and we couldn't tackle them, but I'm proud of our defense for forcing 4 turnovers and our offense with making clutch plays. We found a way to win, and that's all that matters."

Unstoppable Outlaw Leads Tigers To Upset Victory
Noles Comeback Attempt Thwarted By Tiger Running Game
#4 LSU - 30
#2 Florida State - 22
Player of the Game: Bo Outlaw (RB) - 18 carries, 90 yards, 2 rushing TDs; 2 receptions, 48 yards
Game Notes & Quotes:
- Both teams traded interceptions in the opening minute of the game; however, after FSU's interception of a Jarrett Lee pass, the Seminoles were tackled at their own 1 yard line. On the next play, LSU senior DE S. Corely sacked FSU QB EJ Manuel in the end zone for a safety, giving the Tigers a 2-0 lead.
- After an FSU TD drive to cut the LSU lead to 9-7, LSU true freshmen WR/return man Dee Dee Johnson knifed his way down the field for a 93 yard kickoff return TD to put the Tigers ahead 16-7. This TD return was the freshman speedster's 2nd KOR TD in as many games for LSU.

- The FSU "Tomahawk Package" with Blake Beck at QB kept the LSU defense off balance. Beck finished the game 6/7 passing for 64 yards and had a handful of nice runs to keep the defense guessing.

- The Noles cut the Tiger lead to 30-22 with 3:30 left in the game on a 29 yard strike from Maunel to Blake Beck. LSU's running game (26 carries, 121 yards, 3 TDs on the game) proved to be too much to stop on the subsequent drive, and the Tigers moved inside the FSU 5 yard line before taking a knee to end this hard fought matchup.

- "This was a rewarding, hard fought victory for our team," said Mike VI, the Tiger's live mascot, through the interpretation of his trainer Sigfried. "I enjoyed my first road game very much. Although my pregame meal of burritos, ribs, and mac 'n cheese was delicious, it stopped me up majorly, and I was disappointed I was unable to poop on Bobby Bowden Field. Nonetheless, I peed a lot and gave Chief Osceola and his horse a post-game wedgie."

Gators Running Game, Defense Too Much For Huskers
Early Interception Sets Tone For Gators Defense
#8 Florida - 28
#17 Nebraska - 17
Player of the Game: Jonathan Ingram (RB) - 7 carries, 42 yards; 102 yard KO return for TD
Game Notes & Quotes:
- Florida's OLB Edwards intercepted a Kyle "don't call me Jessie" Spano on the game's second play.

- Big plays by Diaper Dandies were common place in the 1st qtr, including a 102 yard kickoff return for a TD by Florida freshman speed demon Jonathan Ingram and a long TD reception by Husker freshman sprint star Darrell Webb. At the end of 1, Florida lead 14-10.

- Coach Stu' steam established the run early and often, with the Gators Jeffrey Demps rushing 22 times. He only gained 58 yards, but the slow and steady running game kept the tempo in the Gators' favor.

- The Gators stormed ahead 28-10 early in the 4th quarter and threatend to tack on another score before the Huskers got a 4th down stop on the Nebraska 1 yard line. The Big Red added a late score to make it 28-17 but couldn't get the ball back and the Gators ran out the clock.

- "I am proud of the way our kids played and rebounded from our week 1 loss," said Coach Stu. "Nebraska is young, good, and well coached. The difference in the game was turnovers and special teams, although we have to improve on defending the deep ball and the fast QBs. I also enjoyed our team's new pre-game rap remix of Let's Hear It For The Boy, which we sung impecably; it brought a tear to my eye."

- "Now we'll move on to play the #4 Vols, said Coach Stu. "Suckers."

NCAA 10: Player Lock and Defensive Assist

Here's another update about NCAA 10...Player Lock and Defensive Assist.
Edit---after reading this update, I don't really like it. The "Defensive Assist" thing kind of rewards you for moving a defensive player out of position on purpose! No me gusta...and the Player Lock might be ok at times, but why wouldn't you always want to have the option to control every player? oh well...

LSU Pulling Out All Stops To Defeat Seminoles

Making good on Coach UTVOL54's promise to stop at nothing to win this year's national title, the #4 LSU Tigers are digging deep into their bag of tricks for week 2's showdown in Tallahassee against the #2 ranked Seminoles.

Mike the Tiger, LSU's live tiger mascot, will be making the trip to Doak Campbell Stadium/Bobby Bowden Field. His mission, to poop on Bobby Bowden Field and to scare the hibbity jibbities out of Coach cjohnchavis and his team. Rumor has it that cjohnchavis and his staff have been watching Mike's Live-Tiger cam all week trying to determine a strategy to fight off the 700 lb beast.

Could this be the scene in Tallahassee this week?

Mike VI, who has served as mascot since 2007, and has exceeded his veterinarian's expectations in every possible manner. His vet says "Not only is he very handsome, with markings unlike any tiger we have ever had, but his personality is remarkable. He is extremely confident, interactive, inquisitive, and friendly toward people, except Seminoles. He appears to really want to poop on them and their football field."

"This is a concern for us," says Coach cjohnchavis. "Chief Osceola is a fierce warrior and a skilled spear thrower, but he is strongly against poaching animals. I am fearful for our team's safety. Tiger poop is huge and it stinks."

Mike VI has never traveled with the team on an away game, but is quite versed in scaring opponents in Tiger Stadium, as his cage is driven next to the visiting team's locker room before each LSU home game.

"This beast isn't afraid of anything," Coach cjohnchavis says. "He lives in a home/habitat fitting of an Alabama football player, and I'm not sure what we're going to do at this point."

To make matters worse, it appears that Coach cjohnchavis's entire family has turned their backs on the Seminoles for the purple and gold. It's been well documented that LSU Coach UTVol54 hired cjohnchavis's father Coach johnchavis as the Tigers' defensive coordinator in season 3, but who could have imagined what would happen next.

Coach johnchavis and Coach UTVOL54 discuss how funny it will be if Mike VI poops on Bobby Bowden Field

Not only is cjohnchavis's dad wearing Tiger colors, but his brother and even his newlywed wife have been spotted and photographed wearing Tiger paraphernalia.

"I'm sure on game day Mrs. cjohnchavis will be in here normal seat in the FSU coaches wives skybox, but Mrs. UTVOL54 extended the invitation for her to sit in the LSU skybox with her. I think it will be a game time decision," said LSU coach UTVol54. "It's hard NOT to love that purple and gold."

Coach cjohnchavis says the Noles will be circling the wagons, and although he wouldn't go on record as predicting a victory over the Tigers, off-the-record, he said the Noles would "win this game for sure, no doubt about it."

With all of these pre-game distractions, as well as the emotional victory in Lincoln last week, will the Noles be able to focus on the task at hand?

"We've got a score to settle with LSU,"said coach cjohnchavis. "Their signees initiated that after-prom-party fight in Houston a few months ago and we haven't forgotten it."

The More Things Change...The More They Stay The Same
Clemson Comes From Behind To Upend Gators In The Swamp
#1 Clemson - 24
#2 Florida - 10
Player of the Game: Blake Miller (RB) - 5 carries, 29 yards; 2 receptions, 42 yards, 1 TD
Game Notes & Quotes:
- Florida took a 10-7 lead into halftime. Coach StuBucksman told sideline reporter Erin Andrews, "I like our hustle and our poise."

- Clemson scored 24 unanswered points after the Gators jumped out to an early 10-0 lead.

- Clemson took the lead for good midway through the 3rd qtr. as RB Blake Miller hauled in a 41 yard TD pass against double coverage.

- An interception by 1st year Gator starting QB John Brantley thwarted a scoring opportunity for FL in the 2nd half, and the Gators couldn't recover.

- "It took my team a while to get going, said Clemson Defensive Line Coach Dan Brooks (Head coach utvol27 was unable to speak to the media, as he had a "prior engagement" with sideline reporter Erin Andrews). "Our defense bended some in the first half, but we hung in there, and our offense took control in the 2nd half. We have a long way to go, but any time you can come into The Swamp and get out alive, it's thrilling."

Hero for Noles; Heartbreak For Huskers
Kickoff Return For TD In Final Minute Gives Seminoles Thrilling Victory
#4 Florida State - 24
#12 Nebraska - 20
Player of the Game: Greg Talley (WR) - 3 receptions, 35 yards; Game-winning kickoff return TD
Game Notes & Quotes:
- FSU true freshman CB Kyle Bonds intercepts a hail mary pass on the goalline as time expired, as well as making a crucial block on WR Greg Talley's game winning kickoff return for a TD.
"He played excellent as the Nickelback and did great returning kicks, said Coach cjohnchavis. "What a block on Talley's return, what a BLOCK. Without that, we lose. Then, he makes an All-American play to intecept the Hail Mary. I'm so thankful he's on our team."

- The Cornhuskers took a 20-17 lead on a 39 yard field goal with 30 seconds left in the game, before Talley's game winning kick return.

- The Nebraska running game thrived behind its dominant offensive line and running backs Roy Helu Jr. and WR/RB Pierre Powers.

- Nebraska true freshman speedster Darrell Webb proved the speed he showed in high school in California carries over to RUTS, making a huge TD reception in the first half.

- New FSU starting QB EJ Manuel completed 7/9 passes in the game, and WR Bert Reed and WR Blake Beck, two Heisman candidates only caught 1 pass each.

- "What a gut wrenching game," exclaimed an exhausted Coach cjohnchavis to sideline reporter Dr. Jerry Punch. "(When Nebraska took the lead with 30 seconds left) The equipment guys were packing up all of the gear, they put up our special teams mat, we had it marked down as a loss. You have to give Nebraska credit. They really took it to us. I guess God was smiling on the Seminoles tonight."
