"The U" is Back! Canes Kick Last Second FG, Upset #6 Oklahoma

Miami staged an upset for the ages last night, knocking off #5 Oklahoma 20-17 in front of a sellout crowd at Dolphins Stadium. Miami kicker Matt Bosher kicked a 34 yard FG as time expired to send the Hurricanes sidelines and the crowd into a frenzy.

Miami scored 13 unanswered second half points, while holding the Sooners scoreless, to cap off an improbabale comeback. In doing so, Miami not only moved above .500 for the season, at 6-5, but clinched the Big XII North division title. At two losses each, Miami wins the tiebreaker over Oklahoma. The Canes will square off against #1 Ohio State in Cowboys Stadium in week 15.

The Hurricanes have an important contest against at home against surging North Carolina next week, who will be close to a Top 10 ranking after this week's win over Tennessee. Oklahoma is now resigned to trying to sneak into one of the BCS Bowl at-large spots.
