As usual, there has been plenty of tomfoolery and horse play between the two teams, their coaches, and their fan bases this week. Neither team likes or respects the other, and there has been plenty of trash talk this week. Rumors of a pregame dance off at midfield before the game have not been confirmed.
The LSU crowd will be rocking tonight. It's a game in Death Valley, and not many teams come out alive. Former LSU Head Coach UTVOL54, who coached the Tigers for 5 seasons in RUTS1, said "Death Valley is a trap, and Coach StuBucksman has never won in that stadium. I predict he will use this a motivation and have his team ready to play tonight."
Coach cjohnchavis has already warned his Tigers to not get caught up in the pregame hype, saying that "our defense is going to have to be rested to contain the RB duo of Ingram and Richardson." LSU's defense, one of the stingiest defense in the nation when it comes to giving up points could give the Alabama running game fits. "I doubt they'll score in double digits," scoffed LSU defensive coordinator cjohnchavis'sDad.
The fan bases of these two schools don't get along either, and with a full day of tailgating at their disposal, look for some rowdy fans tonight.
It's Officially Game Day in Baton Rouge!
Through all the trash talk and pregame chatter, Coach StuBucksman has been surprisingly stoic and has promised to keep his cool tonight, "I will not slam down my hat, headset, or controller during the game....that is my goal."
Chillin' Out, Maxin, Relaxin', All Cool....
Coach cjohnchavis scoffed at Coach Stu's comments and promises of no pregame pranks. "He's a flat out liar!" yelled Cjohnchavis. "The security cameras at Tiger Stadium offer all the proof I need, and I will not comment further."
You be the judge...is this Coach Stu?
Coach cjohnchavis has made conscious efforts to further fire up his fan base for tonight's game, even donating $50,000 to purchase souvenir posters for everyone who attends the game. "We have to be loud and show our Cajun pride," the Tigers Head Coach said.
ESPN's College Gameday is in town and after a long and boring show, fans were on the edge of their seats waiting for Lee Corso's pregame pick. Both teams bring a lot of confidence into this one, and we expect a knock-down, drag out battle. LSU's defense is so athletic, it may be tough for Bama to get the ground game going. However, the Alabama secondary might be able to slow down LSU's WRs and passing attack enough to keep this one low scoring on both sides. The RUTS Media think this one will be a well played game on both sides, with very few turnovers. It will come down to a 4th quarter stop by Alabama inside the red zone, and the Crimson Tide will do the unthinkable and escape Death Valley with a 14-10 victory, giving Coach Stu his first win on Tiger turf.
As for Lee Corso and the Gameday crew...they see things much differently, predicting a resounding LSU victory and eventual spot in the BCS title game!! Which ignited a frenzy among the Tiger faithful watching the show.
Ghey Love!? Lee Corso tickles a giddy Herbie after picking the Tigers!
