Week 7 Preview - It's A Dandy

Week 7 features what might be the game of the season up to this point, as well as a classic SEC East rivalry. In the words of Keith Jackson, "Whoa Nelly, you better buckle your chinstraps!"

Gators! Tigers! In The Swamp!
ESPN College GameDay Looks Forward to Rowdy Reptiles

Last season's Florida/LSU matchup was one of the best games of the season, with LSU scoring a victory in Death Valley with a late 4th quarter touchdown. Before, during, and after the slugfest in Baton Rouge, LSU students and fans hurled insults galore at Tim Tebow, none of which have been forgotten by the Gators' signal caller. They may, however, have been forgotten by you. Here's a refresher:

Students Have An Inside Scoop?

This Has No Game Relevance, But This LSU Student Must Think Tebow Has Some Sweet Cheerleading & Dance Moves

Late Hit Much?

Post-Game "Moment"

It will certainly be a rowdy crowd in The Swamp this week, and the #2 Gators look to further state their claim for the top spot in the nation. Florida has been beyond dominant this season, winning their 5 games by an average margain of 40.8 points. The matchup provides many storylines and is a battle between the previous two national champions. Can LSU's defense contain Tim Tebow, as he boldly waves the flag for the Gator nation? Can Florida bottle up 5'5 LSU speedster Trindon Holliday? Will the Gators finally respond fan demands and break out their new Jort uniforms? One thing is for sure, the Gators, and Tim Tebow, will have payback on thier minds.
Lee Corso Picks The ________??? And this guy isn't happy about it one bit! Even Erin Andrews is picking the Gators!

Tennessee/Georgia...It's A Football Fiesta
It's Uga's bark vs. Smokey's howl! Tennessee has dominated in the previous two matchups in 2006 (51-33) and 2007 (35-14). It's a rivalry that certainly has been spiced up in the past decade, with both team's winning its share of games in the series. 'Twas only one year ago that a keynote event occured that sums up what this rivalry means to both teams...
A regular touchdown celebration in any other game might look something like this:

But when it's Tennessee/Georgia, it transforms into this work of art:

Spurrier Enjoys Off Week, Will Hit The Links
Spurrier: "We're Playing Kentucky, It's An Off-Week"

South Carolina Head Coach Steve Spurrier plans to spend this week chasing the golf ball around. You'd think the Gamecocks' skipper might be on the practice field preparing his team for a visit at Kentucky this week, or at least in the film room preparing a plan of attack for next week's showdown with the LSU. "I don't have time to worry about Kentucky or LSU," says Spurrier. "My short game is horrendous right now, and I've got to get it fixed." I'm not sure what the ol' ball coach is trying to get fixed in this picture.

Auburn Looks to Run Past Hogs, Get Back Into Top 25

The Auburn Tigers host the reeling Arkansas Razorbacks this week, and with an impressive win, can earn a spot in next week's Top 25. Behind a rejuvenated Kodi Burns at QB, who provided a deadly run/pass combo last week at Vanderbilt, the Tigers, with a win can improve to 4-3 on the season, and more importantly, 4-1 in the SEC race. With LSU's difficult conference schedule coming up, a resurgent Auburn team looks to put the pressure on the Bayou Bengals of LSU for the SEC West crown.
