Ready for Rematch Rumble? Sooners & Tigers say, "Heck Yes"

Some have called this rivalry the modern day Hatfields vs. the McCoys. Others have called more hostile than a Pat Summitt and Geno Auriemma stare down.

In the ever-growing soap-opera drama that epitomizes the rivalry between the two coaches, Coach cjohnchavis and Coach utvol27 meet tonight in the BCS National Championship Game. On the line? A National title and for coach cjohnchavis, a chance to exorcise the utvol27 demons that have haunted him since RUTS1.

You can read all about them here, here, and even here (when the two teams met for the RUTS1 National title in March of 2009).

As if the close calls and dramatic late game finishes weren't enough of a story line for this big game, leading up to this week's big game, Coach utvol27 is said to posted several pictures of Coach cjohnchavis in the urinals at the Oklahoma football complex and in the locker room at Malibu Sands High School, where the Sooners have been practicing while in LA for the game. The photos date back to cjohnshavis's time with the New England Patriots and his love for sweatshirts, Tom Brady's Stetson cologne, and Ninja-Tiger costumes.

Coach utvol27, according to a report from ESPN's Pardon the Interruption, has been adamant that he thinks coach cjohnchavis was the main perpetrator behind turning Oklahoma into NCAA authorities for the potentially major recruiting violations in season 2. The recruiting scandal sent shockwaves across the college football world and although Coach utvol27 and Oklahoma's program weren't found guilty of any major violations, Big Snacks, one of the rogue boosters tied to Coach utvol27, was sentenced to 789 hours of community service cleaning toilets at the Norman, Oklahoma Waffle House.

No need to even dissect the on-the-field things for tonight's game...the real fun will be keeping up will all of the drama surrounding the game. When asked, what he's concerned about, Coach cjohnchavis quipped the now famous Sheen-ism, "Winning....Duh!"

No word on whether or not star recruit Kyle Ryan will be in attendance at tonight's game.

We can't even muster up a bold, brash, and downright dramatic prediction for this game. It's no surprise that LSU is going to pound the rock and utilize underrated star TE Erik O'Neal to keep Oklahoma off balance. The Sooners will try to get Heisman trophy winner JurMuriquan Jones off to the races early too, but the Sooners' passing attack may provide its best option for a victory. On paper, just like against Ohio State in the Big XII title game, the Sooners are probably a little bit undermatched. However, it's difficult to go out on a limb and predict and LSU victory in this one. It will be tough for Oklahoma to defeat the Tigers twice in the same season, however.

Sooner or later, Coach cjohnchavis is going to break through and win a RUTS National Championship. We can think of no better time than now, having already defeated Florida in a rematch from the Tigers' other loss this season. It would certainly be a victory for the ages. But, we just can't boldly predict it will happen. The magic is, and always has been on the side of Coach utvol27. For whatever reason, the referees, the controller, the kicking meter, and the media are always on his side. The Sooner magic will stay alive for one more game...and Coach cjohnchavis will join Ohio State Coach UTVol54 in the "RUTS3 Close But No Cigar" club.

Prediction: Oklahoma 24, LSU 20
