...And Down The Stretch They Come!

As the RUTS Dynasty enters week 12 of its 2nd season, four teams find themselves smack dab in the middle of the national championship race. LSU (#1), Clemson (#6), Florida (#7), and Virginia Tech (#8) all have emerged as contenders to play in Pasadena for the BCS National Championship Game. LSU is the only undefeated team in the group, Clemson has 1 loss, Florida has 2 losses, and the Hokies have 3 losses. Virginia Tech, however, has used a tough strength of schedule and a monumental upset victory at Clemson to make a huge leap in the BCS standings over the past few weeks.

Florida, Clemson and VA Tech have all secured their births in their conference championship games, and an LSU victory over Ole Miss this week will secure the Tigers' birth in the SEC title game ---- meanining that both games will feature rematches from earlier this season (LSU 37, Florida 7....and VA Tech 42, Clemson 31).

Although the conference chmapionship games appear to be locked up, some tough games remain on each team's regular season schedule. Florida's only remaining game is at home against Florida State. Clemson has an open week before playing Missouri and Ole Miss. Virginia Tech travels to play rival Virginia and Oklahoma before heading to the ACC title game, and LSU plays Ole Miss, Arkansas, and travels to South Beach to play upset-minded Miami in Week 14.
