Week 5 Rankings and Heisman Watch

Heading into Week 5, here are the Top 25 rankings and the Heisman Watch. There have been some early surprises this season. Texas A&M and last year's Heisman winner Johnny Manziel have held on to the #1 spot in the polls after defeating Alabama 17-14 in week 2, but new RUTS coach Maulds1989 has taken the Georgia Bulldogs up to #3 in the polls. Using a dominant passing attack, Coach Maulds1989's Bulldogs defeated the Michigan Wolverines in week 5 and are poised to host the undefeated Tennessee Volunteers in Athens in Week 6. That matchup is a huge one in the SEC and National race, unexpectedly. Coach UTVOL54 and his true freshman QB Josh Dobbs have been dominant this season, defeating two #9 Oregon, #11 Florida, #20 LSU, and #25 UCLA in racing out to a 5-0 start. Still, the Vols are only ranked #17 in the Coaches Poll despite a #5 ranking in the AP Poll. The clash in Athens against Georgia will determine the frontrunner to win the SEC East title and also match up two Heisman Trophy candidates in Dobbs and UGA's senior QB Aaron Murray. The #2 Stanford Cardinal suffered a devastating defeat this week against #5 Clemson. The Tigers, playing without senior QB Tajh Boyd defeated Coach utvol27 and set up what could turn out to be a wild race in the Big 10. Also, don't forget about Alabama. The Tide are poised to make another title run, despite losing to A&M. If Alabama can run the table, look for them to be poised for a possible rematch against A&M or another RUTS coach in the BCS title game. Let's take a look at the Top 25 heading into Week 5 and the Heisman watch:
