Sources: Titans Head Coach UTVOL54 Calls Team Meeting, Speculation Swirls

The Tennessee Titans are 11-0 this season, have won 27 of their last 28 games, and have a total 46-3 record in RUTS2. However, inside sources within the Titans front office set off a firestorm in Nashville this week with speculation that Head Coach UTVOL54 met with his team this week to inform them that he is stepping down as Head Coach at season's end.

Leading up to his team's Week 13 game against the Indianapolis Colts, the Titans have arguably never played better. They lead the NFL in team defense, scoring defense, and turnover margin, along with having the 2nd most productive offense. All of this makes the rumors of Coach UTVOL54's impending retirment from RUTS2 all the more surprising.

Practice has gone on as usual this week, and Titans players have not confirmed or denied the rumor of the team meeting. After days of questions from the media, including late night stalking from the ever-annoying Chris Berman, Coach UTVOL54 issued this statement to the media before the Titan's walk through practice in Indianapolis, which ironically is the site of this season's Super Bowl:

"Our team is as focused as they've ever been right now. We are gearing up for the final five weeks of the regular season, four of which are AFC South Division games. We will not let any rumors or distractions get in our way of an undefeated season and claiming the NFL's first ever 19-0, Super Bowl Championship winning team. And, I will certainly not let any thoughts of retirement on a sunny, warm beach with an icy Mojito in my hand, no alarm clocks, no media, golfing every day, and delicious seafood distract me from that goal. Until the season is over, and I'm holding the Lombardi Trophy in my hands, I will not address these rumors."

With that, Coach UTVOL54 walked toward the practice field...wearing flip flops and carrying a beach towel.
