Atlanta, GA -
Alabama jumped ahead early and never looked back, earning Coach StuBucksman and the Crimson Tide their 4th SEC title in the 5 seasons of RUTS3. In a game that many thought would be closer than it turned out to be, Coach StuBucksman used a balanced, albeit not-so-flashy, offensive attack and a stifling defensive game plan to hold UNC without a touchdown and secured the Alabama-nation a trip back to the BCS National Championship Game.
Alabama WR Avery "Big Fart" Marquardt hauled in 5 receptions for 103 yards to earn game MVP honors. After the game, a teary-eyed Coach StuBucksman stood on the field, speechless as he watched his team celebrate another conference title.
"Last year at this time, we were sitting at home watching LSwho take home this trophy," said the coach, now in an all-out weeping cry. "This is OUR trophy! OUR trophy! And, it's coming back home to T-Town baby! This one is for Harvey Updyke and every sensible, hard-working, red blooded Crimson Tide fan in this great country of ours."
Tide fans screamed and threw their underwear on the field as the legendary coach and his team left the field to the tune of Sweet Home Alabama. After departing the Georgia Dome, Coach StuBucksman made a surprise appearance at the post-game after-party at the nicest Motel 6 in the greater-Atlanta area. Hosted by longtime Coach StuBucksman, Alabama, and Sensual Barbecue fan Tom Selleck, the party raised $32.67 for the Harvey Updyke Foundation to Ensure Your Kids Get Cool Alabama-affiliated First Names. As if he needed any more positive publicity, Coach StuBucksman reportedly grabbed the microphone at the event and led the crowd in a rousing rendition of "Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting" before leaving the hotel in a stretch Oldsmobile Cutluss Supreme...crimson of course.
